C&N Jerome Roundside #1

CNJ Roundside-1-1

This is one of the earliest clocks produced by Jerome after introduction of the patent 30-hr movement, when the amount of brass was reduced in the Type 1.114 movement.  At this time, he was in partnership with his brother, Noble.  Shortly thereafter, the partnership was expanded with the addition of William Gilbert, Zelotes Grant, Ezra Baldwin, Asa Thompson, Ebenezer Hendrick, Eben Pritchard, Augustus S. Jerome (one of Chauncey’s sons), and Hiram Camp (Chauncey’s nephew).

CNJ Roundside-1-2

Although no printer is shown on the label, it was likely printed by Elihu Geer.
